What they need

d2 communications provides a range of public relations and communications services, specialising in the charity, not-for-profit and voluntary sectors. Getting the message out about what these charities are doing, raising awareness of particular health initiatives and how the public can help lend its support to fundraising efforts, are crucial to their success. d2 communications relies on photographic partners that can balance the need for sensitivity to these needs with the requirement for maximum exposure.

What we do

Our work with d2 communications is predominantly in the charity sector and we have collaborated with them to help raise awareness for organisations such as Cystic Fibrosis Ireland (CFI), Rare Diseases Ireland (RDI), Health Research Charities Ireland (HRCI) and Fighting Blindness. We develop concepts for clever photoshoots for the clients which will result in high-quality and quirky images to ensure a high-pick up of images. We need to ensure that we take a large range of images to suit the various needs of broadsheet national newspapers to tabloids and local media, as well as for the social and online communications needs of clients.

What they say

"I have had the privilege of working with Shane, Orla and the team on a range of creative projects. I have always found Shane and his team to be imaginative and ingenious in coming up with novel ideas that will grab media attention. Often with charities, who work to support some of the most vulnerable in our society, there is a need to be sensitive and conscientious when taking photographs. Shane is always the epitome of understanding and professionalism – easy to work with, creative and efficient in getting through long photo lists in the often-short timeframes for photocalls. Above all, Shane achieves high success rates in helping to deliver the next day coverage every client wants to see."
